Does it pay to be good?

Have you ever heard the story of Job?

He “was blameless and upright one who feared God and turned away from evil.”  Job was blessed with riches, a large family, good health, and more.  But, with God’s permission, Satan caused Job to lose everything—his money, his children, his health—in order to test whether Job’s faith was genuine.  But after he was tested and proved faithful, “the Lord restored the fortunes of Job,” “[a]nd the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

Proverbs 11:25 says: “Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”

But Psalm 73:12 says, “Behold, these are the wicked; always at ease, they increase in riches.”

So, my question for you today is simple: Does it pay to be good?  And does it matter?

Think about it,

And have a wonderful day.
