“The snail reached the ark”

Do you ever feel like everyone else is making more progress than you?  They find it easier to get things done, to reach the finish?  Have you ever thought that Aesop’s fable about the tortoise and the hare is a nice story, but that in the real world, the hare actually wins the race most of the time?

Well, Charles Spurgeon’s observation that, “[b]y perseverance the snail reached the ark,” (think about that for a second), is a reminder that finishing well does not necessarily mean finishing first, and that as Confucious once said, “[i]t does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”

When your efforts are slow, arduous, and seemingly futile, just remember: “the snail reached the ark.”

Have a wonderful day.
