Classical education requires teachers who are trained in academic disciplines (literature, history, sciences, mathematics, music etc.) and not just in elementary or secondary education.

Naturally, classical school teachers love to spend time with children; they are kind hearted, and they know how to manage a classroom, but they should also have the ability and desire to shape the character of their students through modeling and teaching moral virtue.
