Our Tuition Philosophy

The following principles guide our approach to tuition and tuition aid at Columbus Classical Academy:

Committed to Excellence: A Columbus Classical Academy education is good for every student. As a result, we endeavor to make it affordable to as many families as possible. We will charge no more than is necessary to provide students with a world-class education in the liberal arts and sciences based on Hillsdale College’s first-rate curriculum.

Guarding our Independence: We have decided not to accept direct government funding that is typically available even to other private schools. This allows us to maintain the integrity of our Mission and the independence of the institution we are founding. Our ability to offer competitive tuition is the product of our commitment to stewarding our resources well, and without the wasteful administrative costs that encumber so many K-12 schools today.

Generous with Assistance: We recognize that there are families that are simply unable to afford CCA without assistance, but who believe in the Mission and genuinely desire the very best education for their children. For that reason, we will provide tuition assistance to qualifying families to the full extent that our resources permit. Your child’s education, while worthy of financial sacrifice, should not require more than you responsibly can pay.

Our Tuition, Fees, and related Tuition Assistance policies are set out in detail below.

In addition to tuition, families are responsible for the payment of two school fees for each enrolled child.

The enrollment fee is a non-refundable fee due after acceptance that secures your child’s spot at CCA and reflects a commitment to enrolling.

The Book and Supply Fee covers, among other things, consumable curricular materials such as classroom supplies, art materials, and the cost of texts that CCA students will read and then keep, as they build for themselves a robust library of classic literature for a life of learning.

Tuition Assistance

Families may qualify for need-based tuition assistance. Each family’s specific circumstances and needs are taken into account, including:

  • household income and wealth;
  • the number of children enrolling; and
  • unique financial circumstances affecting the capacity to pay.

We recognize that the cost of sending multiple children to private school is substantial. For this reason, our tuition assistance process takes into account the number of children enrolling from a given family, so that awards also reflect the greater burden of enrolling multiple children at the same time.

In addition to a demonstration of need, families considered for tuition assistance must reflect a strong understanding of and commitment to the mission and vision of Columbus Classical Academy.

How To Apply

You may apply for tuition support program with our partner, FACTS Tuition Management. FACTS conducts a financial needs assessment. For new students, tuition support applications will not be considered until you complete your application for admission. Students who are currently enrolled and returning need not resubmit an application for admission.

Upon completing the application for admission, you will need to apply for support through the FACTS financial aid portal and submit all supporting documents requested there. The application requires a $40 fee to be paid upon submission. The priority deadline is March 1, but applications will be considered year-round. The earlier you complete your application for admission and your tuition support application, the more likely it is that there will be funds available to you. If you need assistance with the application, you may call FACTS family care at 866-441-4637.

Submitting an application for tuition assistance does not guarantee that an applicant will receive any tuition assistance. All applications are reviewed on an individual and case-by-case basis. Payment in full of all student fees and purchases of all necessary supplies, uniforms, and other materials is required of all families, including those receiving tuition assistance.

Tuition Payment and Policies

Continuous Enrollment

At Columbus Classical Academy, we believe in the value of a long-term partnership with families in the education of their children. And we are committed to the prudent stewardship of our resources and to sound planning for the future. As a result, we utilize continuous enrollment. From the time of initial enrollment, your child will be considered enrolled at Columbus Classical Academy through their 12th grade graduation or until enrollment is otherwise ended by the parent or by the academy by the processes outlined in the family handbook.

Information Carryover

Each student’s information (i.e. address, phone, email, emergency contacts, and medical information) is continuous from grade to grade in FACTS SIS/Family Portal. We will maintain the database by reminding parents to send updates to admissions@columbusclassical.org.
