Get some sleep

Well, you’ve nearly made it.  Summer break starts in 4 hours.  And my last piece of summertime advice to you is brief—and it is as much for the grownups as for you students: Get some sleep.

Charles Schultz, author of the Peanuts cartoon and creator of Charlie Brown and Snoopy said: Happiness is waking up, looking at the clock, and finding that you still have two hours left to sleep.  Amen to that.

It’s been a long, hard year.  Stay awake until noon…and starting tomorrow, I wish you many summer mornings of Charles Schultz’s kind of happiness.   Get some sleep—you’ve earned it.

Have a wonderful last day of school.
